Wiels accepts residency applications from Belgian artists or artists who have been living and working in Belgium for at least 2 years. The proposed residency period is 6 months: January to June 2022 or July to December 2022.
The deadline for submitting the file is 31 May 2021.

PART 1: ADMINISTRATIVE DETAILS
Preliminary remarks:
– Please state your name and first name at the top of each page
The file must contain the following documents, in the prescribed order:
A. APPLICATION FORM : download, print and fill in the appropriate application form (at the bottom of the page).
B. CURRICULUM VITAE : including your education and exhibition history.
C. WORK DESCRIPTION : Describe your work in a maximum of 250 words.
D. DECLARATION OF INTENT : describe your projects and expectations of the residence in a maximum of 250 words.
E. REFERENCES : Provide the name, e-mail address, telephone number and mailing address of three persons who can take a professional position towards your recent work and artistic development.
F. PICTURE LIST : The picture list should be numbered in the same order as the digital pictures (see PART 2). Include the title, date, materials, dimensions and a brief description of the work (maximum 50 words per image or video).
PART 2: VISUAL DOCUMENTATION
We only accept digital images or video files. Digital files must be emailed or shared on file hosting services or video sharing websites.
MAXIMUM 10 IMAGES: Each work must be identified with your surname_first name and its number. For example: Smith_John01.
Digital format: jpg or PDF
Maximum size: A4 or 1000 px
Image resolution: 72 dpi
FOR VIDEOS: Footage of ‘moving’ work ( time-based media, video art, kinetic art or performances) must be listed and made accessible with the PICTURE LIST via a download link from file hosting services (such as GoogleDrive or WeTransfer), or via a link from video sharing websites (such as Youtube or Vimeo).
