The eighth edition of 1-54 London will take place at Somerset House 8 – 10 October 2020.
This will be a very special edition of the fair, a smaller and more intimate event, with a myriad of great art and discussions.
The scaled-down fair will see 25 international galleries representing a selection of the best contemporary artists from Africa and its diaspora. The fair will once again be accompanied by 1-54 Forum, its extensive programme of talks, curated by Julia Grosse and Yvette Mutumba of Contemporary And (C&).
The fair also announces the launch of 1-54 Online Powered by Christie’s this October, an innovative online platform that enhances the programme of 1-54 by providing a virtual experience where art lovers from all over the world can see and buy works by some of the best artists from Africa and its diaspora.
