Vogue announces the 6th edition of Photo Vogue Festival in November 2021. Themed Reframing History, the festival will feature projects that reclaim alternative narratives.
The submitted images could reframe historical events or figures, explore overlooked histories, reclaim previously undermined aesthetics, address discrimination and prejudice, or explore fictional narratives.
Among the planned events, the PhotoVogue exhibition will be the result of a scouting project launched on Vogue.it photography platform. Interested participants can either sign up to PhotoVogue and regularly upload photographs, post them on Instagram using the hashtag #VIreframinghistory, or use Picter where each author can submit a maximum of 10 images from one project and up to 3 videos.
The works presented as part of Photo Vogue Festival will be selected by a jury of international experts including: Aimée Mullins | Akinola Davies | Alessia Glaviano | Alfredo De Stefano Farías | Alona Pardo | Anastasia Taylor-Lind | Azu Nwagbogu | Chiara Bardelli Nonino | Christine Eyene | Damarice Amao | Edward Enninful | Elisa Medde | Emanuele Farneti | Ferdinando Verderi | Francesca Marani | Fred Ritchin | Gwen Lee | He Yining | Ibrahim Kamara | Ihiro Hayami | James Estrin | Johanne Affricot | Josué Rivas | Juan Costa Paz | Laura Roumanos | Lekgetho Makola | Lou Stoppard | Lynette Nylander | Michael Famighetti | Michael Van Horne | Missla Libsekal | Olivia Anani | Osei Bonsu | Paul Moakley | Rahaab Allana | Sagal Ali | Samira Larouci | Selma Blair | SEOK Jae-hyun | Shannon Ghannam | Sunil Gupta |Tasneem Alsultan | Willy Ndatira | Yael Martínez.
